Two days after "Happy Birthday, America!" it says today:
Happy Birthday, President Bush!
George W. Bush celebrates his 64th Birthday. It is the first birthday for 15 years, he as a private person and not celebrating as the holder of public office.
On being old fourth July, the American national holiday, gave Bush the first time after leaving the presidency on 20 January a public speech.
George and Laura Bush were visiting in the small town of Woodward, Oklahoma, where 7,000 people cheered them. The rural Oklahoma meant Bush for a home game and so he was friendly to the public. Interjections like "We miss you, George!" were not uncommon. Some of the attendees wore T-shirts on which was as: "Club Gitmo. When America was safe"
The world politics is not his subject, which is why Bush made especially jokes about its current ex-president's life. At the beginning of the speech, Bush thanked him for the audience to give him to do something as a pensioner with his speech. He also explained how since the 20th January's "domestic policy" looks like: take out garbage and lawn mowing.
also thanked Bush the U.S. military for his work, spoke about the courage of wounded Soldiers, whom he met on the importance of work and profit.
The 30-minute speech would not have been Bush's speech, if not the subject of freedom have taken the center stage: "Freedom is wonderful, freedom is precious and that freedom must be defended forever," he said.
